Hello, hello, everybody!
I’m Iris, a queer human in their 20s living in the Philippines. My pronouns are they/he/she.

I’m very passionate about a lot of things, particularly mental health and psychology, Star Wars, and musical theatre. They’re very different things, but they have one common denominator: they all hold stories.
And I am a vessel of stories.
It’s why I graduated with a degree in psychology in 2023, and why I got my license as a registered psychometrician. When the time is right, I will pursue a master’s and further delve into this field. In the mean time, I’ve found myself falling back in love with an old hobby of mine—writing.
With that, I welcome you to Rose-Tinted Rambles, my little corner on the internet where I yap (or ramble) about mental health and stories. I have a lot to say but often don’t know where to put them, so I hope to find an outlet in this blog. I hope it entertains you or teaches you a thing or two!
If you’re looking to see more of me, I have a poetry account on Instagram and a YouTube channel where I document my travels! Please forgive me for my very inconsistent uploads.
Here are some fun facts about myself. Maybe we have some things in common!
I love spaghetti. So much. You don’t understand.
The best cuisine in the world is Filipino. Yes, I know spaghetti is Italian. No, I will not explain myself.
I’m not a big fan of Filipino spaghetti—I think it’s all right.
Chinese food is a close second.
Enough about food. I’m a dual citizen! I lived in the USA for about 6 years before moving back home to the Philippines.
I am obsessed with Star Wars. I know I mentioned this, but I really, really love it. I just needed to emphasize that. (Rogue One and Revenge of the Sith are my favorites!)

I also love musical theatre. My top 3 are Hamilton, Wicked, and Hadestown. It’s hard to access theatre where I live, but I managed to watch the Hamilton tour in Manila and Wicked in the West End!
The Percy Jackson series is what got me into reading! Percy is definitely my comfort character, and rereading feels like coming home. (I’m a child of Apollo, by the way! Can’t sing, but I do love poetry. Hope that counts.)
I wrote One Direction fan fiction when I was 11.
My favorite Spider-Man is Andrew Garfield, specifically from The Amazing Spider-Man 1. His suit was beautiful, and the web slinging was perfect.
There you go. You know everything there is to know about me.
Thank you for sticking around to the end of my very first post! I’m excited to share this space with you and hope you’ll join me on this journey of exploring the worlds within and around us. Whether it’s through deep dives into mental health, nostalgic trips down memory lane, or just rambling about the things I love, I’m glad to have you here.
Feel free to drop a comment or shoot me a message—I’d love to hear your thoughts, stories, and maybe even your favorite Star Wars character (I promise I won’t judge… too much). Until next time, keep looking at the world through your own rose-tinted glasses.
See you in the next ramble! 🌹
